SGSP Honoring Spring 2018 Graduates at Biannual Hooding Ceremony
STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma State University School of Global Studies and Partnerships is set to honor its Spring 2018 graduates at its biannual hooding ceremony Friday, May 11, in the Wes Watkins Center Exhibit Hall.
The ceremony will honor nine students who are graduating with a Master of Science in International Studies. The SIS graduates include: Ashli Bell, United States; Julieta Marina Castañeda Bringas, Mexico; Trisha Chaparala Iyonsi, United States; Jiwook Jang, South Korea; Brian Pinedo Ramos, Mexico; Zivana Sablich Torrico, Peru; Carmina Tlalolini Piñal, Mexico; Mariya Yarosh, Belarus; and Huey Ling Yip, Malaysia. The graduates’ advisers will present the hoods.
“Our master’s program uses a multi-disciplinary approach to help students develop global perspectives and leadership skills to prepare them for work in a global marketplace,” said Dr. Randy Kluver, Dean of the School of Global Studies and Partnerships. “We are proud of our graduates and look forward to seeing how use their education to solve global problems.”
The event will begin with a reception at 4 p.m. followed by the graduate processional and hooding ceremony at 5 p.m.
