Applications Open for Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad Fellowships
Applications for the Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad Fellowship Program are due July 2, 2018. The program provides doctoral candidates the chance to conduct research abroad in modern foreign languages and area studies.
About 90 fellowships are granted each year, awarding more than $33,000 to grant recipients. Projects can focus on one or more of the following geographic areas: Africa, East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, South Asia, the Near East, Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia, and the Western Hemisphere (excluding the United States and its territories).
The grant provides funds for research periods of six to 12 months and covers travel, cost of living, insurance and research-related expenses.
